Our new Ultimate Micro/Mini System Speaker Cable features the same ultra-high-definition performance that our dedicated customers have come to know and love from Cobalt Cable, only now with the RCA connector option.  It achieves its incredible performance by offering a 12 gauge oxygen-free copper (OFC) conductor, which is four times the size of the standard cables for these systems.  By offering a significantly larger conductor in this speaker cable, your system will have much greater clarity, power, and punch.

More About Wire Gauge
With speaker cables, keeping the resistance (the amount of the signal the cable holds back) of the cable down is paramount.  The reason why keeping resistance down is so important is that the lower your resistance is the clearer and more dynamic the audio from your speakers will be.  This is called the damping effect.  Basically speaking, as your resistance goes up the audio from your speakers will sound more compressed, muddy and lifeless.  However, by keeping resistance to a minimum you allow your speakers to perform at their optimum level, with incredible clarity, dynamics, and smoothness.  The ONLY way to meaningfully reduce resistance is to use a bigger conductor (wire).  It is sort of like the plumbing in your house in that, larger pipes will let more water through.  In your audio system, larger wires let more signal through.  Since this cable is over twice as thick as most, if not all, cable options for this system currently available, your system will have a tremendous reduction in speaker cable resistance and you will get a very obvious upgrade of the audio performance of all your speakers.

More About Wire Length
A lot of people have heard that they need to keep their speaker cables the same length, because to have any length difference would introduce delay or other unwanted effects to their system.  Especially with our cable, this is simply not true.  Since the signal travels down the cable at nearly the speed of light, it would take length differences of almost a mile for any kind of “delay” to be audible.  Furthermore, since our speaker cable has such low resistance (due to its very large center conductor) all lengths are sonically identical.  You will not hear a difference if you have a 6 foot cable on one speaker and a 50 foot cable on another.  Every length has the same incredible level of performance.  So, don’t worry about matching any cable lengths with any cable in your system.  Simply purchase what you need to make the cable run.
