Do you need to "convert" and HDMI connector into a DVI connector (or vice versa)?
Here is the perfect adapter for you!

Use our high-performance HDMI/DVI adapter to "convert" seamlessly between HDMI and DVI connections. Trying to connect a device with an HDMI connection to a display (e.g. HDTV) that only has a DVI input? This is the perfect adapter for you.

How does it work?

HDMI connections are backwards-compatible with DVI-D video signals (and conversely, DVI-D video connections are forward compatible with HDMI video connections). From a video signal perspective, HDMI and DVI are identical. So, this adapter really does not convert anything. It simply gets the connectors right on both ends to pass the same signal.

Will this adapter hurt or degrade my video quality?

Absolutely not. Since DVI-D and HDMI are digital video connections, they will pass through our HDMI/DVI adapter flawlessly. This adapter will not affect the quality of the HDMI/DVI signal in any way. Guaranteed.

Which one do I need?

If you need to convert an HDMI cable to fit into a DVI input, select the "HDMI to DVI"connector option. This is the adapter shown in the product photo above. On the back of this connector you will find a female HDMI "jack" which you plug one end of your HDMI cable into.

If you need to convert a DVI cable to fit into an HDMI input, select the " DVI to HDMI" connector option. Since it is not shown above, here is a picture of this version of the adapter:

Note: When you convert HDMI to DVI, ONLY video will pass though the connection. If you are passing video and audio from your source, you will need to use a separate connection to transfer the audio. Conversely, when you convert DVI to HDMI, no audio will be added to the signal (since the source is sending DVI, which is video only).
